1 June: Meet at hotel in Edinbugh, Scotland.  7:00 pm opening dinner as a group. 
Edinburgh's famous Royal Mile

2 June: Edinburgh Castle and Royal Mile

Edinburgh Castle
3 June: Travel to York, England, with a stop at Holy Island, Lindisfarne Priory
Lindisfarne Priory was the site of the first Viking raids

4 June: Jorvik Viking Center
Reenactors at the Jorvik Viking Center; Vikings ruled York for over 100 years 

5 June: Climb Medieval Walls and Tower, York Minster evening concert
York Minster; largest cathedral in northern Europe

6 June: Travel to Warwick, with stops at Sherwood Forest and Leicester Cathedral; evening walking tour of Warwick
The infamous King Richard III, whose body was found under a parking lot two years ago, now rests in Leicester Cathedral
7 June: Warwick Castle
Warwick, called the "greatest Medieval castle in England"

8 June: Oxford University, including seminar with Professors Bernard Capp and Peter Marshall
Oxford University's famous "bridge of sighs"

9 June: Hailes Abbey in the Cotswolds countryside; afternoon free time
England's iconic Cotswolds region

10 June: Travel to Dover with a stop at Canterbury Cathedral; Dover Castle and the White Cliffs
The interior of Dover Castle, restored to look as it did in its Medieval heyday under Plantagenet rule
11 June: Early morning ferry to France; travel to Bayeux with a stop in Rouen
Rouen, France, where Joan of Arc stood trial and was executed in 1430

12 June: Bayeux Tapestry Museum; afternoon free time (Normandy beaches nearby)
The 1,000-year-old Bayeux Tapestry is an incredible 240-foot-long piece of Medieval history in needlepoint
13 June: Island monastery of Mont St. Michel, France

The 1,300-year-old monastery of Mont St. Michel is the site of some of Europe's most extreme tides (and was the model for the kingdom in Disney's "Tangled")

14 June: Travel to Paris; Medieval Paris walking tour.  Closing dinner as a group.  


15 June: Course ends
